“Rotary Atheneum Awards” – annual extraordinary concert in “Mihail Jora” Concerts Studio of Romanian Radio Society. One of the most beautiful projects of Rotary Atheneum Club is the extraordinary concert “The Rotary Atheneum Awards”. At its third edition, the event was imagined like a support, recognition and appreciation for the young and great musicians that our country has.
  “Bucharest Symphony” Orchestra, under the baton of Florin Totan, will accompany them. The concert is prepared each year, under the brand “Musicians from today, musicians from tomorrow…” of Rodica Sava, one of the most competent names of Romanian classical music. A well-known artist will follow the performance, according to tradition,, this year, maestro Adrian Petrescu, the first oboist of “George Enescu” Romanian Philarmonic. With this occasion he will offer a great selection of international plays accompanied on saxophone.
 By the end of the Rotarian year 2006-2007, that will end on 30th of July 2007, Rotary Atheneum Club will implement communitarian projects valued at over 100.000 Euros, demonstrating that a small group of people believe with all their hearts in the Rotarian slogan: “Serve above yourself”, and they get to find, help and protect the most important gift of our country, the young people with great talent. |
