A New Rotary Club on the Bucharest Map
26th of October 2007

The limited but very select family of Rotary Club Romania has a new member, starting with 26th of October. The event for the mapping of Rotary Bucharest Triumph Club took place at Novotel Hotel in Bucharest, in the presence of two distinguished guests from abroad: the Governor of District 2490 – Israel, Mr. Baruch Barak and his assistant, Ephraim Prihar.

The ceremony was led by the special representative of Rotary International, Mr. Dan Creţescu. Bucharest was represented by members of Rotary Bucharest Club, Rotary Atheneum Club (known as the “Godfather” Club), headed by the President Marius Cristescu, and Vice-president, Anca Manea, while some other cities were represented by members of the Clubs from Călăraşi, Giurgiu, Constanţa, Tulcea and Mangalia.

In the discreet accords of quartet Maggiore, the members of the new club received the badges from the Governor of the District 2241 Romania Ovidiu Coş and from the district secretary Petre Diculescu.

The quartet Maggiore played instrumental pieces by Vivaldi, Teleman, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, and Handel.
