About us ...  The Rotary Atheneum Club is the fourth Rotary Club founded in Bucharest. Officially charted in October 2001, under special auspices, it was the first Romanian Rotary Club granted the honor of receiving the Foundation Charta from the President of Rotary International – Mr. Robert King. At the same ceremony, held at Hotel Marriott from Bucharest, the Rotary Atheneum Club has been honored with the participation of the Prime Ministry of Romania of that time, his Excellency, Mr. Adrian Nastase. The momentous event for all the founding members of the Club has been celebrated, together with rotariens from all over the country at Clubul Diplomatilor of Bucharest. The ceremony of investment of each member of the new Club and the granting of the badge took place in the same location.The Rotary Governor of that year, Valentin Cismaru was the one who emblazoned the lapel of each future member of our Club. Ever since and as long as God will help us, we have accomplished and we will perform beautiful projects through which we are trying to bring back the hope and joy of those who need our support in certain moments of their life. We have brought food where it was needed, we have delivered books and computers where there weren’t money for their purchase, we helped health recovery and we have promoted on the stage young but brilliant talents that we hope to become famous all over the world.We are HAPPY to accomplish TOGETHER this type of wonderful works. For those who think and feel in the same spirit, we are addressing a general invitation of joining us.
