Message of Rotary Club Bucureşti Atheneum president, Anca Manea,
for Rotary year 2010-2011:

Dear Rotary members and friends of ours,

This is the 9th year of Rotary Club Bucureşti Atheneum existence and the 10th year from the establishment of District 2241, Romania and The Republic of Moldavia. Together we have completed wonderful projects, we helped children, old persons, young talents, people less lucky than us. If according to Byron “Friendship is love without wings” … it means we have also learned to be friends with each other.  If according to Harry Truman the leaders are the people who determine others to make things they do not wish to and above all to like what they are doing … it means that we have demonstrated that we can also be leaders.

Between past and future, there is the present; only by combining all three we can perform solid, resistant and everlasting projects. Dear friends, seniors or beginners, but friends indeed, I am counting on your support in the Rotary year 2010-2011, for accomplishing my Rotary goal: that of being happy. By being happy, we cam share our happiness with those around us. I wish that this wonderful volunteers’ organization – Rotary Club Bucureşti Atheneum, brings the smile on the face and the light in the eyes of our fellow men.

The Rotary future is in our hands, now when, active in communities, we bring continents closer.

People are saint for people. Let’s never forget that Rotary signifies love… love for people!
